Keep your blooms a little longer.
These precious petals last for months
and they smell fabulous!
Glass candle holders double as nice potpourri vases. Also add as decorative table art for special occasions.
Recycled rose petals and gardenias make for wonderful homemade potpourri.
Materials:

Flowers
(Roses, Gardenias leftover from Bouquets)
Wax Paper or Aluminum Foil
Cookie Sheets
So pretty, it’s a great way to preserve those Mother’s Day or Birthday Blooms.
Preheat oven to 230 degrees.
Remove rose petals and place on wax paper or foil.
Gently remove petals from rose stems.
Discard any brown or bruised petals.
Discard the leaves.
Add in gardenias. Gardenias are very fragrant and are the base for many popular perfume fragrances on the market today.
They will bring depth to the potpourri.

Place all petals on wax paper or foil on a cookie sheet.
Bake in a 230 preheated oven
until the petals dry
about 15-20 mins.

Avoid over-baking.

Let cool for 5-7 mins.
Add to your favorite vase, basket, or decorative bowl.

It’s that easy and your home is filled with lovely fragrance!
