Make Ahead Holiday Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

3 Cups Fresh Cranberries
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Apple Juice or Apple Cider
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
Pour all ingredients in a medium to large pot.
Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Remove from heat.
In a bowl with a strainer pour in the mixture.
All juice will separate from the berries.
Mash berries with the back of a
wooden spoon until desired consistency.

Incorporate a few mashed cranberries into the reserved juice.
Separate and store both in serving bowls.

This provides two options for either traditional Jellied Cranberry sauce
(requires refrigeration before serving).
Whole cranberry relish style
(can be served immediately, best chilled)
Cover and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
Serve chilled.

Enjoy!
