Homemade French Bread Loaf w/ Gluten Free Option

Crusty on the outside, soft
and delicious in the middle.

Ingredients:

1 1/3 Cups Water (80 degrees Fahrenheit)
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil, 2 Tbsp. more for dipping
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1 1/2 Tsp. Salt
4 Cups Bread Flour
(Substitute, Gluten Free Flour)
2 1/4 Tsp. Active Dry Yeast
(Gluten Free Substitute Red Star Quick Rise Yeast)
Bread- Maker

Optional:
Make the dough (Dough Cycle) in the bread-maker and finish in the oven to save time. Preheat oven to 350 degrees for 15-25 mins or according to directions.
Oven temps and time vary based on flour type.

Makes 10-12 Servings. Shelf life 3-5 days.
Add wet ingredients
to the bottom of your bread maker pan.
Add the dry ingredients on top.
Make a divot about a half an inch deep.
Pour in the yeast.

It’s important to keep the yeast separate from the liquid ingredients until it’s ready. It’s activated once they combine.
Set the bread-maker to the French setting,
Medium Color, 2.0 Lb Loaf.

Process and bake for recommended time (may differ by bread-maker)
Let’s put an Italian spin on it with some olive oil and dry herb dipping sauce.
In a mortar and pestle grind together, oregano, Italian seasoning, sea salt, and pepper.

Plate and drizzle olive oil over the blend.
Dip warm bread into the oil and enjoy!
