Chocolate Chip and Almond Cookies

Ingredients:

2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Floor
(Optional Gluten Free Flour)
3/4 Cup Sugar
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Unsalted Butter or Low-fat Margarine
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Vanilla or Almond Extract
2 Eggs
3/4 Cup Mini Chocolate Morsels
1/2 -1 Cup Raw Almonds (Omit for nut allergies)
Gather Ingredients.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Start by toasting almonds for 5 minutes.
Set aside.
Combine dry ingredients.
In a separate mixing bowl combine sugars, butter/ margarine and vanilla extract.
Slowly add eggs to the mix.
Slowly add in dry mixture and blend evenly.

Fold in morsels.
With a mortar and pestle grind toasted almonds.
Add some to the mix reserving a little more as a topper.

Bake for 7-9 minutes. Let cool for at least five minutes and top with some of the reserved almonds.
